Conduct Your Own Special Election For $10 US Dollars

Setup your own election for Town Mayor, Class President, Cheerleader, PTA Chairperson, Church Council Candidates, Astronomy Club Leader, or any kind of election you like.

How Can I Run A Special Election?
Begin by signing up for your free e-mail election account and establishing a login name and password. Next, go to the build page and begin building your voter's ballot with as many voting measures and/or candidates as you like. Then submit a list of your voters' private e-mail addresses along with the date you have scheduled for voting and a one time fee, if required, and that's it. The e-mail addresses you submit will be held in the strictness of secrecy and will only be used for your special election. On or prior to the date of the election, depending on how you've set it up, an e-mail you've composed will be sent out to each person on your e-mail address list. Each e-mail will contain a special web link specifically for them. When the voter clicks on this web link the voter's ballot will be displayed. The voter will then complete their ballot and click on the ballot submission button when finished.

After the vote has been cast the voter may again click on their web link to view a special menu of post voting choices. The first menu choice allows a voter to see the incoming voting results as the votes are counted. All vote counting is done automatically at the instant when each vote is cast so every voter can see the election results at the same time by simply displaying this web site during the election. The second menu choice allows a voter to pull up their own ballot to verify how they voted. The third and final menu choice allows any voter to pull up all the finished ballots one at a time and count the ballots if needed. It is also possible to print a copy of each finished ballot to establish a paper trail of the election. Remember that ballots pulled up will contain no personal information so each voter's choices will always remain confidential.

How Much Will It Cost?
The fee charged for your special election will depend on the total number of persons you submit in your E-mail Address List. If you submit 10 or fewer persons, the cost is FREE. This happens to be a great way to pre-test your special election to see that it works as expected.

The fee charged is $10 US Dollars if you submit 11 to 10,000 voters. You may enter as many voters as you like but for each additional 10,000 voter group you will pay an additional $10 US Dollars. In other words, if you have 10,001 to 20,000 voters you will pay $20 US dollars.

How Can I Make And Submit An E-mail Address List?
First you must use a word processor program like Notepad or Wordpad that comes with Microsoft Windows to create a special text file (a file with the filename suffix TXT). You should name your file, "Address_List.TXT". On each line of your file enter each voter's name followed by a comma followed by the voter's e-mail address. The format of the file looks something like the following example:

      James R. Wilson, jrwilson@hotmail.com
      Joyce Smith, MyBell@yahoo.com

After you have setup a new account and logged in by clicking the Log-In button above, you will need to link to the "Build Voter's Ballot" web page by clicking the Build button above. Once you are on the "Build Voter's Ballot" page look for a box labeled "Submit E-mail List". Click the Browse button and select the file from your hard drive that you just created named, "Address_List.TXT" and click Open. Once the filename appears in the small edit box just left of the Browse button, click the "Submit File" button just below it. It should only take a couple of minutes for your file to upload and this web page to reappear.

Will My Election Files Be Safe From Internet Hackers?
Using modern encryption methods, we will secure your confidential files making them virtually impossible to decrypt and modify in a way that would be undetectable. Should we notice any hacking activity, the server will be shut down until it can be safeguarded and fully restored. You will be notified immediately about this by e-mail or if the problem occurs on the day of your special election you will also be notified by phone.
